Disney Villain Costumes
Disney Villain Costumes
I love Disney movies and every year for Halloween, I consider going as a Disney character. However, I've always been drawn to the bad guys or anti-heroes. While there are hundreds of Disney character costumes, the villains always seem to get left out. If you're like me and prefer dressing up and playing the role of the bad guy, then here are some costume ideas that are perfect for you!
Cruella De Vil
101 Dalmatians
Regardless of your personal beliefs about wearing fur, Cruella De Vil is one of the most notorious Disney villains and makes a great Halloween costume. Cruella is a classic Disney Halloween costume, and also makes a great DIY costume because all you need is a wig and a black and white outfit.
Cruella makes a great Disney costume because she's easily recognizable, and there are a variety of costume interpretations of her from traditional to sexy and all in between. She's a great costume idea because it's hard to really fail at being so evil!
You poor, simple fools. Thinking you could defeat me. Me! The Mistress of All Evil!
Maleficent
Maleficent
Sleeping Beauty
As Maleficent, you can become the scariest and one of the evilest Disney villains for Halloween. Maleficent is Disney's version of Sleeping Beauty's evil fairy. I remember being petrified by Maleficent as a child. She's evil, beautiful, and carries a creepy staff. She is now one of my favorite Disney villains because of her well.. evilness. Dressing up as Maleficent for Halloween guarantees a fun night out. You'll surely get your way, or else, you can curse anyone who gets in the way!
Evil Queen
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Who is the fairest of them all? Everyone knows the story of the Queen, her jealously, and Snow White. What makes the Queen such an evil villain is her multiple attempts at killing Snow White. She first orders her huntsmen to kill Snow White. Then, she transforms herself into an ugly hag and tricks Snow White into biting a poisoned apple.
The Queen is such a fun costume because she's, well, evil. But also beautiful. By dressing up as the Queen, you'll get to have lots of fun playing with makeup, and get to wear a royal purple gown with black cloak and headpiece. I like to consider the Queen as the high-fashion end of all the Disney villains. Many costume sites also have a variety of Queen accessories as well as other great costume ideas for the Evil Queen.
The Queen makes a great Disney villain costume because she is so "high fashion" out of the other villains. Have fun with this villain costume! Just remember to look fabulous while being evil!
Queen of Hearts
Alice in Wonderland
Off with her head! Shout orders and go into a tyrannical frenzy as the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. The best part about dressing up as the Queen of Hearts is the variety of costumes available for her! It will be harder to choose a costume for her than choosing to be her. There are elegant gowns, sexy, over-the-top, and all sorts of red, checkered, and heart costumes. She makes a great Halloween choice because just like Cruella, you can't go wrong in whichever costume you decide for her.
My dear, sweet child. That's what I do. It's what I live for, to help unfortunate merfolk, like yourself, poor souls with no one else to turn to.
Ursula
Ursula
The Little Mermaid
Ursula is a sea witch who tricks Ariel, and almost gets away with it. Ursula makes a fun villain costume for Halloween! She's evil, dramatic, and cunning. All she really wants is to control the sea and live in the sea palace. Ursula makes a great villainous costume. You can get creative and make your own, or you can try the cute and sassy version. Whichever you choose, you're sure to turn heads and get lots of recognition.
I also like the Ursula costume because it's a fun way to dress up as a sea creature without revealing too much. And she's also from one of my all time favorite Disney movies!
Captain Hook
Peter Pan
It'll be a pirate's life for you this Halloween. Just watch out for crocodiles and ticking clocks! If you can't decide between being a pirate and being (or forced into being) a Disney character, then Captain Hook is a perfect choice for you! He's evil, determined, and well... honestly, a little goofy.
Cheshire Cat
Alice in Wonderland
The best part about dressing up as the Cheshire Cat is that there are a variety of costumes available in many different styles and sizes. There are traditional versions, cartoon heads, tail and ear sets, and sexy costumes. Whichever way you want to dress is acceptable, just don't forget the pink stripes!
Jafar
Aladdin
Disney's evil villan Jafar, makes a great villan costume for men. Be lead by your greed and ambitions and become the all-powerful and super scary Jafar!
If you can't find the perfect sultan costume for you, then pair a Jafar headpiece with a black cloak and facial hair!
